Indagine storico-culturale, filologica e codicologica di testi latini e latino-greci di ambito linguistico: grammaticale, metricologico, lessicografico, disponibili solo in edizioni invecchiate o inediti, finalizzata alla realizzazione di pubblicazioni a stampa e all’implementazione dei portali dedicati ‘Nomenclator’ e ‘Cadmus’ per lo studio della tradizione grammaticale antica’, secondo la seguente articolazione: analisi delle forme di trasmissione dei grammatici latini e dei relativi vettori manoscritti e catalogazione on line dei manoscritti di contenuto grammaticale prodotti entro il sec. XI; allestimento di edizioni critiche, con traduzione e/o commento, caratterizzate da esplorazione completa e diretta della tradizione manoscritta e da metodologia ecdotica adeguata alle specifiche tipologie testuali individuate, con pubblicazione a stampa nella collana ‘Collectanea Grammatica Latina’ (Bibl. Weidmann.) e accesso on line a testi e apparati critici; contributi di approfondimento di contenuti, forme e terminologia della dottrina grammaticale e metrica antica, con particolare riguardo (a) alla sua influenza sulla riflessione linguistica del medioevo e dell’età moderna; (b) alla valorizzazione dei testi grammaticali come fonti della tradizione indiretta degli auctores perduti in tradizione diretta anche come presupposto di specifiche edizioni di frammenti; (c) lo studio delle prassi scolastiche tardoantiche attestate dalle grammatiche latine; allestimento di strumenti per l’insegnamento del latino basati su una prospettiva storico-linguistica.	Historical-cultural, philological and codicological investigation of Latin and Latin-Greek texts dealing with grammar, metrics and lexicography that are unpublished or only available in outdated editions, with the aim of producing printed editions and implementing the dedicated portals ‘Nomenclator’ and ‘Cadmus for the study of the ancient grammatical tradition’. It will be articulated as follows: analysis of the forms of transmission of Latin grammars and their manuscript witnesses, and online cataloguing of Mss. of grammatical content produced before the end of the 11th Century; preparation of critical editions, with translation and/or commentary, based on a full and direct exploration of the manuscript tradition and using the most suitable ecdotic methodology for each specific typology of text, with publication in print in the series ‘Collectanea Grammatica Latina’ (Bibl. Weidmann.) and online open-access publication of critical texts and apparatuses; contributions to in-depth analysis and valorisation of the content, form and terminology of ancient grammatical and metrical doctrine, with particular regard to (a) their influence on the linguistic thought of the Middle Ages and the modern period; (b) a reappraisal of grammatical texts as sources for the knowledge of auctores lost in direct tradition, as well as the basis for publications of fragments; (c) the study of late antique school practices attested by Latin grammars; setting up tools for Latin teaching based on a historical-linguistic perspective.
