The course aims to introduce students to some of the most significant topics in the study of comparative law, with a specific focus on the common law and civil law traditions, and by contextualizing these topics within a historical framework and in relation to the concrete challenges facing contemporary societies. The course will also aim to explore in depth specific issues related to security (cybersecurity, territorial security, environmental security, and emergency management).
