The so-called “Digital Humanities” have become a paradigm of innovation – and unfortunately often also a trend – in the field of humanistic and social sciences in the last twenty years. Born as a tool to support and enhance the traditional work of European and American linguists and philologists, DH have gradually established themselves in every disciplinary area and also in non-European cultures, with a range of original theories, methods and computer applications. The aim of the course will be to introduce students to these new models of research and investigation, particularly in the field of the creation, management and dissemination of digital literary texts, as well as the native forms of digital literary communication. In addition to a historical-theoretical framework, the teaching will provide tools and practical skills to actively and consciously address the phenomenon of the digitalization of humanistic knowledge.
